“This wickedly intense psychological thriller by Vince Taplin was an absolutely wild ride. Once I started this book I wasn’t able to put it down … This was a one sitting read for me. Written in a sort of stream of conscious style, Taplin puts the reader right into the center of the drama in a way that had me cringing and gasping out loud. This book is full of snarky, unfiltered thoughts and dark, twisty plots. I would recommend this book to lovers of fast paced, sexy thrillers. Four Stars for me!”
-Big Borrowed Books Reviews
“Wow, talk about a dark psychological thriller…. Alexa is one scary woman. This book is a wild ride from start to finish, and even the ending was twisty and unexpected. You can almost taste Vick's inner turmoil over the choices he's making. This story was not what I expected, but I was not disappointed! Go check this one out.”
– Nic Reeves - Author of The Bell Chime and Founder of Morality In Horror
“This book is like a few of my favorite thriller movies combined (obsessed, basic instinct, unforgettable) but then the crazy turned up and humor added… Seriously amazing! I kept saying wtf and holy crap like throughout it. From start to finish just wow. That ending! Fantastic! Oh and the sex scenes, oh my! Seriously amazing writing and amazing characters you love to hate. I had such a strong connection to this book! This is a book to read and an author to watch.
5 stars - Recommend to all thriller readers!”

Morality in Horror –Mona Kabbani Author – “Pick of the Month”
“You really don’t know what you’re getting into when you first glance at this book. I thought it was an action thriller with the cover and title. But nope, it’s even better. This is a PSYCHOLOGICAL dive into the mindsets of some interesting people. Being obsessed with psychology, I thoroughly enjoyed this. Vince Taplin did a great job making the internal thoughts believable - sometimes when you have extraordinary stories like these, it’s easy to lose the audience with unrealistic thinking. But this was authentic. I’m also surprised that I didn’t hate any character! Even the insane one I was kinda routing for! I wanted to see what they could do next. And that’s the other thing, this story will take you in one direction, then do a sharp turn and surprise you.”
“I highly suggest this book if you’re into psychological dives packed with anxiety. Or even if you’re not! I binge read the second half of this until 2am because I was dying to know how it would end. Great, quick, thrilling read!”
- Morality in Horror –Mona Kabbani Author
“Wow! Alex Six was definitely a shocking and intense roller-coaster ride! The story reads super fast paced, my eyes were glued to the pages! The story is told in two different point of views, from Alex, a rich psychopath stalker that will do everything and anything to get what she wants, and Victor Miller, a married ordinary guy. The author certainly knows how to grab the reader's attention and keep us intrigued! The ending is shocking and unexpected!”
– Library of Pastels
“This type of thriller is one you can’t put down. Short chapters are always a bonus. The alternating timelines aren’t unique to thrillers, but the time lapse between the two was a fun feature! Highly recommend!”
-Believe in my Shelf Reviews
“There was a lot I loved about this book. It was a fast read, the chapters were short, the way the author choose to distinguish between points of view was clever. I did not see the ending coming either which is a huge plus. There were times I set the novel down and found myself thinking about the story and what I thought would happen next. …Overall, I really enjoyed the story and look forward to more books by this author in the future.”
-Jana Hamlin – Ramblin Hamlin Reviews
“This book was so fast paced. I could have easily read this in a day or two, but life happens! This was such a page turner and a quick read! I didn’t see the ending coming so that was nice! Overall, loved the twists, turns, CREEPINESS, and the “edge of your seat/what’s going to happen next?” feeling - this would make a great movie! …If you love thrillers, suspense, and some creepiness then you’d love this super quick, yet jammed pack book!”
-Alyssa Need Moe Books
“This book delivered on all the twists and turns, with a relatable protagonist and a hatable villain. This was THE TWISTIEST! They just kept coming!”
– Lauren + Tater Tot Reviews

– Megan – Megan’s Book Corner Reviews
“Quite the ride on the crazy train. Fast paced, at times cringe worthy and shocking and just hard to put down. Alex is definitely a few fries short of a happy meal and seriously entertaining. She’s just given Glenn Close a run for her money. Grab yourself a copy of this dark and sexy thriller!!”
-Alisa – For the thrill of books Reviews
“This book had the most insane twists and turns I could have possibly imagined and then ending was superb. I was glued to the pages until the very last word. I loved the short chapters and will also never look at a bottle of vanilla extract the same way ever again. … Solid thriller for sure.”
– Joanna – Joanna’s Bookshelf Book Reviews
“Alex Six is an intense psychological thriller! The story line was suspenseful and unique. I really liked Vick’s character and I was rooting for him the whole time! Alexa’s character was so creepy and I would honestly read an entire book about her backstory. The way the author differentiated POVs between chapters was subtle and so clever! I’d recommend this book to anyone who enjoys fast paced thrillers!”
– Maggie Reads – Book Reviews
“This book grabs you right from the beginning. By page 5 my thoughts were oh shit!” Alex will give any stalkers a run for their money - talk about committed! The ending definitely took me for a loop! My thoughts were “oh wow, didn’t see that coming at all.” A few chapter later “OH! Okay, didn’t see that coming either” Definitely takes you for a wild ride and easy to binge. Highly recommend!”
– Reanna – Book Nook Reviews
“Alex Six is INSANE and I mean that in the best way possible. From start to finish there was never a slow moment in this book. It started with a bang and ended with one that was equally as crazy!
There were twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what was going to happen next. There were characters I loved and characters I loved to hate. This book really had it all! As you read you’ll find out just what people are willing to do for love. You’ll find out the extreme measures that are taken to make sure someone loves you back. And you’ll find out how far one character’s obsession really goes. Readers who enjoy suspense, thrilling twists, and a truly wild ride, will enjoy Alex Six for sure! 4.5/5”

“This book was an insane wild ride! This book was a psychological thriller unlike anything I’ve read in a long time. Vince did an amazing job conveying the story through the different POV of the characters. The short chapters were perfect in keeping my attention throughout the book. So many twists and turns and the ending, SO GOOD!”
-Heather – Books with Clarie Book Reviews
“I read this entire book in one day. I know some of you read like 15 books a day but this is wild for me I don’t think I’ve done that since high school but I literally COULD. NOT. PUT. IT. DOWN. Vince did such a great job writing what they were thinking that it ALMOST makes you sympathize with their decisions. Their personalities came through very strong and in a very real, relatable way. HIGHLY recommend if you’re looking for a good psychological thriller”
-Michelle – The Future is Fiction Book Reviews
“I tore through this book in 24 hours, it's that good. If you haven't read this book, you'll need to go grab it and then clear your schedule for the rest of the day. You will be immediately sucked in and won't be spit out until the very last word. Trust me when I say the ending is something you don't want to miss! Then there's the bottle of vanilla extract......... You'll have to read this book to see what I'm talking about. BRAVO @VinceTaplin! …5 Stars”

Combine baking soda, salt, and flour in one bowl – set aside.
In a separate bowl, beat (like stabbing a therapist) butter, brown and granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy perfection. Add eggs, beat some more.
